Board of Directors
The ADAO Board of Directors meetings are held during the last week of every month at 153 Chapel Street from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

Members of the Board of Directors are expected to:

    • Prepare for and attend board meetings
    • Work as a team member
    • Sit on and participate in one of the working committees of ADAO.
    • Participate in the development of a strategic plan
    • Monitor the performance of the organization in relation to objectives and core values
    • Approve the budget and monitor financial performance in relation to it
    • Establish, review, and monitor polices that guide core operational practices (e.g. financial management, human resource management)
    • Attend and participate in the Annual General Meeting

Committees
ADAO committee members are responsible for overseeing and developing ADAO initiatives, programs, and services. Committees meet every 4 to 8 weeks and the time commitment is approximately 2 to 5 hours each month.

    • Programs and Services Committee: 14-Week Anxiety Management Workshop
    • Communications Committee: Website, printed materials, marketing materials, as well as program and service promotion.
    • Finance Committee: Investments, grants / proposals, short and long term funding plans.
    • Youth Committee: Development of a "Youth Approved" program, including a website, parent support network, theatre group, and group program for teenagers aged 14 to 18 years old.
