Christine Flammer, President

Christine is an experienced leader in the charitable non-profit sector, with over 20 years of leadership experience at the regional and national levels in Canada as well as overseas. Passionate about organizational excellence, governance, and communications, she has trained staff and board members across the country, facilitated strategic planning sessions, and taught Evaluation and Program Planning at Algonquin College. An active and committed participant in the community, Christine has been recognized by the Ontario Minister for Women’s Issues in the form of a Leading Women, Building Communities award “for exceptional leadership in working to improve the lives of others in the community.”

Gail Williams, Vice-President

Gail’s background is in communications, writing and editing, and program delivery in government and the not-for-profit health sector. She is excited about joining ADAO and helping to make a real difference in the lives of people affected by anxiety, particularly given the negative effects of the pandemic on mental health.

Alison Timmons, Secretary

Alison is a Master’s-trained social worker with over 14 years of frontline experience. She has worked with women and older adults who have experienced abuse, as well as with military families and HIV positive women. She is currently working as a counsellor for youth and adults at NROCRC Resource Centre.

Maureen (Moe) Moloughney

Moe is the Executive Director and one of the founding members of Heartwood House, home to 20 charitable and non-profits serving the residents of Ottawa. Moe’s education as a community developer has resulted in many years of experience working with small charitable and non-profit organizations in the social service and recreational sectors, supporting their growth, development and sustainability planning for the long term. Moe loves animals, singing, and playing guitar. She is also passionate about sports and is always ready for a game of golf!

Rick Watters

Rick is a PhD prepared registered nurse. His professional nursing career involves educating undergraduate and graduate nursing students in both national and international academic institutions. In addition, Rick has held a number of leadership positions in healthcare including Director of Quality, Director of Research and Education, and Chief Nursing Officer. As a member of the ADAO board, Rick is particularly interested in contributing to the development of its programs and services including online resources to support the needs of persons affected by anxiety.

Jennifer Hubbard

Jen has been involved with ADAO in a variety of roles for more than a decade. She is passionate about providing community-based mental health services that meet the needs of those looking for support. She has been an ADAO facilitator, program supervisor, and task force member, and is now thrilled to shift her focus to being part of the dynamic ADAO board. Jen has used her social work lens to frame her work with individuals, families, communities, and non-profits over the past 25 years. She has shown leadership in a variety of fields including individuals living with HIV, women experiencing post-partum depression, violence against women, anxiety management, community development, and now as a collaboration coordinator at Heartwood House which is home to over 20 non-profit charitable organizations. Jen has held many director and executive positions on boards including Sorrento Centre, CCBC, the Ottawa Sexual Assault Support Centre, Vesta Recovery Program for Women, Ottawa Healthy End of Life Research Project, and the Ottawa Pastoral Counselling Centre. Jen hopes to bring her experience and expertise to the table so ADAO can once again provide critical support services to people affected by anxiety.
